Being part of the Interaction Design team that designs new and compelling generations of software dedicated to the world’s best engineers, designers, and architects. As an AutoCAD User Experience Intern, you will work with Interaction Designers and User Researchers in creating the user interface of key customer experiences, projects and user tasks.
Responsibilities
- To assess and solve design problems using personas, scenarios, use cases and flow charts.
- The ability to compare, contrast, and prioritize among alternative approaches to meeting design objectives, considering business constraints and technological realities.
- To adopt ease of use and simplicity to design challenges, despite complexity of desktop/mobile applications.
- AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical product knowledge.
- The AutoCAD User Experience Intern will work closely with Interaction Designers and cross functional teams to provide User Experience support for the various innovation projects that are carried out in-house.
Qualifications
- Students should be from Information Engineering, Interactive/New Media, Visual Communications, Software Engineering or Industrial Design background.
- Students from other disciplines, but with strong interest in interface design will be considered.
- Knowledge of prototyping tools like PhotoShop, Indesign, Flash, Illustrator, Balsamiq, Visual Basic or Visio.
- Ability to visualize interactions for a Desktop or Mobile applications.
- Create wireframes, prototypes and UI designs.
- Passion to "Learn" and "Drive to Excel" on work assignments.
- Ability to work in team environment
- Good Communication skills
- Exposure to Human Factors or Human Computer Interaction will be a plus.
- Exposure or experience in using AutoCAD or any CAD Product will be a plus.
