Transaction Services is one of the world’s top payments businesses. The team helps clients move money around the world, mange cash flows and mitigate the risks of dealing in multiple currencies. The bank’s expertise here spans cash and liquidity management, trade and supply chain finance, as well as merchant acquiring services.
Responsibilities
Day to day, you’ll draw up lists of target clients and get involved in credit and risk assessments. You’ll also be exposed to team growth strategy deliberation and carry out research to deepen client understanding.
Working in this team will also see you monitor each product’s performance to get a real insight into its capabilities. You’ll be involved in the product development process too, so you can expect to contribute to client discussions and strategic business cases.
From the outset, you’ll liaise with key stakeholders and clients – initially on the phone, then very possibly in person. As well as acquainting you with different cultures that make up RBS, this will be a chance to make your mark internationally.
Qualifications
- Ideally you will have obtained excellent academic results, a GPA of 3.4/4.0 or above
- Keen interest in financial markets. Fluency in English is essential and Asian language skills are desired
- Excellent people skills, along with influencing and negotiation skills
- Strong work ethic, with a high degree of maturity, self-initiative, integrity, enthusiasm, and must be a team player
- Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
