Employer Description
RBS is a bank with a history of looking ahead. Since we were established by royal charter in 1727, it has granted the world’s first overdraft, launched the first mobile bank and developed the first fully functional smartphone banking app.

Markets and Banking in Asia consists of three main areas: Markets, International Banking and Operations (Markets and International Banking). These businesses work closely together to help clients achieve their objectives.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the end-to-end management of Markets and International Banking transactions across the region. You’ll see to it that deals struck in the front office develop exactly as they should while protecting the bank and our customers. Operations support a full range of products, including foreign exchange, money markets, core equities, derivatives, fixed income and futures.

Responsible for the accurate processing of transactions. For example, checking every trade before execution to ensure all the data is accurate. In a sector that’s becoming ever-more tightly regulated, Operations is a critical area.

Qualifications
With market competition and the focus on controls continually increasing, we’re looking for dynamic graduates who can help us re-engineer our processes and maintain our competitive advantage. It’s vital that you’re a strong team player who can think strategically, plan ahead and inspire others. A good general understanding of financial markets, scrupulous attention to detail and excellent analytical skills are essential too. You’ll also liaise regularly with both internal and external clients, so you’ll need to be a confident and professional communicator.
