Employer Description
The European Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, known as EuroCham, was established in 2001 and is composed of the European National Business Groups in Singapore as well direct corporate members. It provides European business with a communication and lobbying channel to Singaporean and European political & economic circles and is the sole European representative at the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) council. It represents the common interests of European businesses in promoting bilateral trade, services and investments between the countries of Europe and Singapore & the region.
Responsibilities
a) EuroCham Activities
- Support EuroCham Committees (reports, minutes, research activities)
- Provide content and background information for exhibitions and events
- Participate in survey execution and result analysis
b) ASEAN Regional Economic Integration Assessment
- Provide regular updates on ‘ASEAN Tariffs & Non-Tariffs Barriers to Trade’ and upload data online
- Liaise with experts, industry associations, chambers and government bodies
- Gather market information on the ASEAN and the EU trade blocs
- Coordinate the overall research activities with relevant stakeholders
c) Website Update and Management
- Daily monitoring of the press
- Update and manage overall website content
- Update information pool on ASEAN and EU
Qualifications
At least a University degree in Economics, Business or International Policy Studies (with economic focus)
Fully fluent in English, other European languages are an asset
Ability to work in a small team and good organisational skills
Flexibility, outgoing and pro-active attitude
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, internet research)
