Employer Description
MFA is currently divided into 11 Directorates which deal with political and economic matters, and 7 Directorates which oversee matters relating to protocol, consular issues and the Singapore Cooperation Programme among others. The Corporate Affairs Directorate oversees organisational and resource management while the Human Resource Directorate and Diplomatic Academy manages the development of personnel and training.
MFA is committed to:

Responsibilities
The 4-week internship either at our headquarters in Singapore or selected Overseas Missions (OMs) between May and September each year.
During the internship, interns will be attached to a Directorate or Overseas Mission and be given various opportunities for exposure. Interns may be tasked to write a research paper or assist in events that the Directorate/Mission is managing. Interns will also have opportunities to attend receptions hosted by VIPs, sit in on calls as a notetaker, attend meetings and conferences, and seminars on foreign policy issues. Structured briefings are also organised as part of the internship programme to enable the intern to better understand MFA’s functions and Singapore’s foreign policy.
Qualifications
Undergraduates interested in a potential career as a Foreign Service Officer to assess their own organisation and job fit.
Undergraduates who are Singapore citizens. Preference will be given to undergraduates in their penultimate year, as places are limited.
