Golden Village is a cinema operator based in Singapore which is a 50:50 joint venture by Golden Harvest of Hong Kong and Village Roadshow of Australia. It operates eleven multiplexes and cineplexes in the country. It joined hands to open a cinema at Great World City, GV Grand. Started in 1992, it opened Asia's first multiplex, the Yishun 10 multiplex. The cinema has the extensive management, operational and marketing skills of Village, as well as broad depth of experience of Golden Harvest in both film distribution and production across Asia.
Responsibilities
- Able to perform the tasks of Cinema Service Crew
- Ensure the security of cinema and equipment at the end of the shift
- Opening / closing of cinema including cash handling and opening & closing procedures
- Ensure the readiness and proper presentation of all areas of the location or within the complex during operating hours
- Ensure that staff adopt proper procedures in projection, concession, floor or ticket sales duties
- Maintain work discipline and report any staff misconduct to superior, to report / feedback to Manager for any course of action
- Conduct training and coaching of Cinema Service Crew
- Assist in handling customer complaint
- Assist in group booking and sale of vouchers
- Familiar with breakdown / emergency procedures
- Perform special assignment and project as required
- Service-oriented, hardworking and willingness to learn are important attributes
- Ability and maturity to communicate and interact with all levels of personnel within and outside the organisation
- Able to perform rotating shifts on flexible working hours
