In the Energy sector, Prysmian Group operates in the business of underground and submarine power transmission cables and systems, special cables for applications in many different industrial sectors and medium and low-voltage cables for the construction and infrastructure industry.
In the Telecom sector, the Group manufactures cables and accessories for the voice, video and data transmission industry, offering a complete range of optical fibres, optical and copper cables and connectivity systems.
Responsibilities
You'll start by spending 2 weeks in our head office, where you'll get a great overview of the business. You'll meet our Group CEO, get to grips with our products and technology, discover how our operations and customer relationship teams work together and you'll even get a tour of our factory. You'll also attend several Prysmian-specific sessions about the Group strategies and economical-financial figures.
Then you'll get the chance to work in a number of roles within it. Over the course of a year, you'll spend 6 months working with our product technology team, 3 months in operations and 3 in customer relations. After each step you will be asked to write a brief experience report about your work in the function and what you learnt there. Alongside regular project-based work, your performance will be evaluated to help learn more about the kind of roles you'd be best suited for. Then you'll embark on a two year international placement in Sales, Operations, R&D or Staff functions.
Finally, your broad experience and understanding of the business will mean you should be ready to take on a Junior Management Role.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering or business administration - or be currently working towards one.
- To have had an outstanding university career, ideally with experience abroad.
- Speak fluent English, yet have an international mind-set.
- To demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
