Responsibilities
The Graduate Trainee Program at Barry Callebaut, also known as Yourfuture@BC, is a two-year rotational program, which enables graduates to start their successful career at Barry Callebaut. The program starts each year in September and is launched in countries of strategic importance to Barry Callebaut. Bright young talents are given a global perspective and the opportunity to gain deep expertise in a chosen functional area.

The program is divided into 3 to 4 assignments of which at least one is planned outside your home country. Each assignment takes place at a location of strategic importance to Barry Callebaut. You will be challenged to deliver your best and to hone your expertise by learning the different aspects of your functional area within Barry Callebaut. Depending on your project, you may also get the opportunity to co-operate with other functional areas.

Qualifications
Recent graduate (max 24 months since graduation date) from a university with at least a Bachelor’s degree? (Master’s degree preferred)
Have an international outlook and prior international experience (preferably at least 6 months)
Have a global mindset and wish to work in different continents
Fluent in English and in a second language
Have an excellent academic record

BestTop Event: BBQ Career Sharing Session

BestTop kicks off the new year of 2014 by holding a well-received event – BBQ Career Sharing Session. This event, which was the first outdoor event of BestTop, was held on Jan 18th at West Coast Park. It functioned and set out to build an informative networking platform for participants to interact with each other and the working professionals in different industries.


During the event, our experienced BestTop coach introduced practical resume writing skills and interview techniques to help the participants to polish their job application documents. The concise and pinpointed speech sparked off a discussion and Q&A session that stretched on for half an hour.




As the second part of this event, our guest speaker from P&G, auditing firm and GlaxoSmithKline addressed the current employment status in different industries in Singapore. They highlighted several ways to nail down an ideal job and related their personal experience of how they succeeded in the job application process.






After which, we organized an interactive ice-breaking game for participants to introduce themselves to each other within the limit of two minutes. At the end of the event, the participants commented that it was a great opportunity for them to received internal references from the guest speakers. We are sure that all our participants take home with tips and confidence in their upcoming job application.
