Management Trainee Intake for 2013

The Management Trainee Program is designed to provide an unparalleled opportunity for candidates to learn all aspects of our luxury travel retail business.

For Management Trainees, these learning opportunities take the form of hands-on experiential learning. Management Trainees are assigned departmental responsibilities including special assignments and projects and interact with managers, coaches and mentors throughout DFS. During the program key skills are established that will anchor Management Trainees in their retailing career.

Management Trainees may be groomed to assume a leadership role in the organization depending on business needs and individual performances. With hands-on exposure to a wide range of departments and categories within the 12 months program, Trainees will have immediate responsibilities and hands-on exposure.

Qualificaitons
  • Bachelor degree in any discipline
  • English and any other second language


Competencies

We are seeking for Management Trainees with the following profile:

  • Career ambitious and internationally mobile
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a special sensitivity to working in a multicultural environment
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and complexity
  • Excels in learning with ability to learn on the fly
  • Polished presentation skills
  • Prior experience in merchandising, planning or stores preferred
