Golden Village is a cinema operator based in Singapore which is a 50:50 joint venture by Golden Harvest of Hong Kong and Village Roadshow of Australia. It operates eleven multiplexes and cineplexes in the country. It joined hands to open a cinema at Great World City, GV Grand. Started in 1992, it opened Asia's first multiplex, the Yishun 10 multiplex. The cinema has the extensive management, operational and marketing skills of Village, as well as broad depth of experience of Golden Harvest in both film distribution and production across Asia.

Responsibilities
  • Able to perform the tasks of Cinema Service Crew
  • Ensure the security of cinema and equipment at the end of the shift
  • Opening / closing of cinema including cash handling and opening & closing procedures
  • Ensure the readiness and proper presentation of all areas of the location or within the complex during operating hours
  • Ensure that staff adopt proper procedures in projection, concession, floor or ticket sales duties
  • Maintain work discipline and report any staff misconduct to superior, to report / feedback to Manager for any course of action
  • Conduct training and coaching of Cinema Service Crew
  • Assist in handling customer complaint
  • Assist in group booking and sale of vouchers
  • Familiar with breakdown / emergency procedures
  • Perform special assignment and project as required

  • Service-oriented, hardworking and willingness to learn are important attributes
  • Ability and maturity to communicate and interact with all levels of personnel within and outside the organisation
  • Able to perform rotating shifts on flexible working hours

SIAC, an independent, not-for-profit organisation, was established in 1991 to meet the demands of the international business community for a neutral, efficient and reliable dispute resolution institution in a fast-developing Asia.

SIAC Board of Directors consists of well-respected lawyers and corporate leaders from China, India, Korea, UK and Singapore. The Board is responsible for overseeing SIAC’s operations, business strategy and development, as well as corporate governance matters.

The SIAC Court of Arbitration comprises 16 eminent arbitration practitioners from around the world, including Australia, Belgium, China, France, India, Japan, Korea, Singapore, UK and the USA. The main functions of the Court include the appointment of arbitrators, the determination of jurisdictional challenges and challenges to arbitrators, as well as overall supervision of case administration at the Centre.

Responsibilities
The internship programme at SIAC aims to give an opportunity to gain first-hand practical experience in the role and functions performed by an international arbitral institution. The internship will complement studies in the area of international arbitration and will expose successful candidates to a career in law and dispute resolution. Interns will also have the opportunity to experience life in Singapore, a major commercial centre and arbitration venue.

Speaker
Shuhua Koh is a banker with over 20 years of experience working in cross cultural environments across diversified roles at both country and regional capacities.  She started her career with the now defunct Overseas Union Trust as a credit officer and her last job was Vice President, Risk & Control with RBS where she spent 13 years. Besides these, she has also worked for OCBC, Bank of America, HSBC and ABN AMRO. Her experience includes process management, business management, wealth operations and risk management. Shuhua holds a Master of Applied Finance from Melbourne University and a Bachelor of Science (Economics) from the National University of Singapore.

Evelyn graduated from the top engineering school in France, École Polytechnique and with Master Degree from National University of Singapore. She started her career in Boston Consulting Group as a consultant. Recently she joined ThyssenKrupp AG, a multinational conglomerate, headquartered in Germany, as an in-house strategy consultant for all markets in Asia Pacific.

Lu Shuai holds a Bachelor of Science majoring in Statistics, with a specialization in Finance and Business Statistics and a minor in Financial Mathematics from the National University of Singapore. Currently Lu Shuai is Head of Trading at Gordian Capital. Duties include receipt of investment advice from Asia based Investment Advisors and internal Portfolio Managers, placement of stock orders to brokers, basket and algo trading, portfolio updates and liaison with service providers, particularly executing brokers.
