The Bioprocessing Technology Institute (BTI) is a national research institute established in 2003, and is funded by the Agency for Science Technology and Research (A*STAR) through its Biomedical Research Council.

BTI has core expertise in bioprocess science and engineering and has initiated new research programmes that will complement, add onto, as well as exploit existing capabilities.

Responsibilities
The broad objective of this 6 month programme is to prepare science and engineering graduates for entry into the biopharmaceutical industry with advanced, specialized knowledge and practical skills in Expression Engineering, Bioprocessing Technology which includes Cell Culture and Downstream Processes, Analytics for Bioprocessing, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Protein Formulation and Stabilisation.

Upon completion, interns can work in the local pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry or go on overseas Strategic Attachment & Training (STRAT) programme supported by the Economic Development Board (EDB).

Qualifications

  • Applicants should possess an Honours Degree or Diploma with working experience in the Biological/Chemical Sciences or Biochemical/Chemical Engineering.
  • Sponsorship: Successful candidates will be provided a stipend for the duration of the Internship.
  • Period: 6 months, July to December
  • Post-Internship: Upon completion, interns can work in the local pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry; join BTI as a research intern or pursue graduate studies under A*STAR Graduate Scholarships.

Responsibilities
