Responsibilities

• Conduct secondary research
• Draft written materials intended to persuade and/or represent a client’s point of view (i.e. press release, research analysis, white paper, newsletter, etc.)
• Develop traditional and online/digital media list
• Pitch media (develop pitch and contact media)
• Participate in brainstorm sessions
• Contribute to new business development processes
• Contribute to development of strategic communications plans
• Assist with event planning and support (could include logistics, on-site staffing, development of collateral, promotion, etc.)
• Monitor and summarize (package and present) variety of news and communication formats (traditional media, blogs, online outlets, etc.)

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biological Sciences or any healthcare-related field.
• Possess good research, writing and organization skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to compile relevant information, provide strategic analysis, present and initiate ideas.
• Prior internship experience in the healthcare sector would be advantageous.
