Key Responsibility:
The overall responsibility of this position is to support APAC Regional Small Package and Freight Brokerage function to ensure it meets and exceeds customer service and quality objectives. He/She assists with the development, assessment, and alignment of service goals with company objectives. This position also supports the implementation of training activities and provides operational support.
Supports Brokerage Tactical Planning
- Develops, discovers, shares, trains, and deploys best practices across countries to ensure consistent high quality customer service.
- Develops monthly performance goals to track and evaluate service objectives.
- Analyzes performance metrics to ensure service processes and procedures support business objectives.
- Gathers performance trend data and works with Brokerage operations to determine improvement areas and raise expectations where appropriate.
- Assists in the development of the Regional Brokerage operations balanced scorecard elements to align with corporate strategies.
Administers Brokerage Operational Excellence Training
- Provides regional support for Quality Improvement Process training to ensure training activities support department and business objectives
- Conducts training for Regional Brokerage Industrial Engineering department personnel to provide accurate operational reports
- Serves as a training assistant to support Regional Brokerage operational performance
Provides Brokerage Support for Operations Excellence Initiatives
- Maintains and updates Operational Excellence databases to ensure the availability of Brokerage best practices and service trends for department personnel.
- Develops weekly service reports to inform senior management of Brokerage service levels.
- Conducts service trend analyses to determine the best service improvement strategies.
- Assists the development of Business Quality Assessment audits to measure customer service performance.
- Performs integrity audits to ensure UPS meets customer service and visibility objectives.
- Supports regional Operations Excellence service improvement efforts to meet service center assessment objectives.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate would have a Degree with strong Engineering background. Good written and communications as well as knowledge in MS Office applications. Meticulous and proactive self-learning team player would be an additional advantage.
