About the Commodities Trainee Program
With operations in 40 countries on 5 continents, you will join an exciting twelve-month training program with the opportunity to train, learn and work in a dynamic, multinational Group with diverse and rising global businesses. Successful candidates will focus on critical skills and knowledge in operations, finance, risk and market research, followed by increasingly more complex trading concepts.
 
Commodities Trainees will be mentored by a senior trader and/or leader within Noble Group and will be given opportunities to network with colleagues from across our global locations.
 
At the conclusion of the program you will be assessed for your trading knowledge and abilities with the potential of being offered a trading position at Noble Group.
 
Required Skills/Experience
You will have an Australian University degree (or are a final year student). All specializations welcome but experience or study in shipping, logistics, international trading, physical and financial trading, mining and resource extraction etc. would be advantageous. You will have an aspiration for an exciting and rewarding career in a successful, global commodities firm with businesses in the world's most dynamic regions.
 
Demonstrated strong intellect, analytical and numerical skills and the ability to absorb information and identify trends will be highly regarded. Resourceful and self-motivated, you will also possess strong commercial acumen, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a mature and credible personal style and high ethical standards.
 
Proactive and results-oriented, you work to achieve tangible results and have the ability to both challenge existing practices as well as follow established procedures.
 
You will have an appetite for learning and speak fluent English. A command of one of the following languages would be a major advantage: Mandarin, Spanish, Portuguese, or Hindi.
 
Significant results call for commitment. As a trainee, you must be ready to seize opportunities offered in our different geographies of operation in the longer term. Mobility is therefore a key asset in working at Noble Group. Applicants will need the ability to hold a current and valid passport and the flexibility to travel is a must.

For Management Trainees, these learning opportunities take the form of hands-on experiential learning. Management Trainees are assigned departmental responsibilities including special assignments and projects and interact with managers, coaches and mentors throughout DFS. Responsibilities
We are seeking a talented, highly-motivated individual to join our clean energy analysis team as an Analyst for a 3 month full-time internship. During this time you will be given projects to execute under the supervision of a Senior Analyst. The projects can involve research, information and data gathering, market and policy analysis, and report writing. At the conclusion of the project, the successful candidate will have gained a good understanding of the renewable energy market in the country / region and an appreciation of the dynamics and issues in the energy sector.

Qualifications
  •  Studying toward, or recently completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in engineering, economics, environmental studies, science, or another analytical discipline.
  •  Strong interest in the economic and political issues surrounding renewable energy, climate change, carbon pricing.
  •  Basic knowledge of the energy industry, energy market and drivers for renewable energy.
  •  Strong analytical and research skills.
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English).
  •  A high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  •  Positive attitude, intellectual curiosity, initiative and an ability to face and innovatively deal with issues in a mature and professional manner.

  • If you have a postgraduate degree (e.g. MBA or PhD), we'll accept a 2nd Lower Class classification or equivalent.
  • Fluency in English (IELTS at least 6.5 with no one individual proficiency lower than 6.5).
