Responsibilities
- Understanding the systems and industries being sold to
- Cold calling and making initial contacts and introductions to Euromonitor and our range of market analysis products and consulting capabilities
- Understanding the structure of target companies to make the most of sales opportunities
- Penetrating the companies and networking to all key decision makers and influencers
- Giving online demonstrations of Passport and related systems to target personnel
- Making tailored proposals, negotiating and closing deals
- Making face-to-face pitches to key personnel at potential customers in Asia Pacific
- Working closely with the consulting team in developing customised solutions for clients
- Involving other Euromonitor staff in client pitches as appropriate
- Setting up trial and new Passport accounts
- Logging all client communication in Euromonitor’s client contact systems
- Helping clients with research and/or technical support, as required
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Intellectual capacity to understand and use our complex research systems
- The ability to pick up an understanding of the types of marketing, strategy and business planning found in the consumer industries we serve
- The requisite sales characteristics of tenacity, drive, commercial awareness, persuasiveness and ability to close deals at all level
- Oral and written fluency in English. Ability to speak other Asian languages in order to liaise with clients and contacts is of added advantage
- Ability to develop the skills to manage your sales territory and to manage ongoing discussions with many different companies at the same time
- Ability to meet regular sales targets, quarterly and annually, so able to work under pressure
