Established for over 130 years and located in the heart of the City of London, the London Metal Exchange is the world’s premier non-ferrous metals market.
The London Metal Exchange (LME) is the futures exchange with the world's largest market in options and futures contracts on base and other metals. As the LME offers contracts with daily expiry dates of up to three months from trade date, along with longer-dated contracts up to 123 months, it also allows for cash trading. It offers hedging, worldwide reference pricing, and the option of physical delivery to settle contracts.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in marketing-related project
- Research and presentations on commodities and metals-related topics
- Start as soon as possible. Students must be able to commit up to 8 August 2014
Qualifications
- Degree educated or currently undergoing tertiary education
- Candidates with a finance or in related areas preferred
- Financially literate; knowledge of commodities and base metals in particular will be advantageous
- Knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Excellent written and verbal English and Mandarin communication skills
