Sourcing in Barclays
The Barclays Sourcing Centre of Excellence in Singapore is a global hub and supports almost £7 billion of Barclays annual third party spend. Every physical and virtual product and service in the Barclays’ workplace has at one point or another been introduced to the business through Sourcing.
It is a fast paced, commercially focussed function and is passionate about building strong relationships with internal clients. It has a diverse group of specialist Sourcing teams. Some teams deal with specific product categories such as Technology, Professional Services or Marketing whilst others manage the processes and systems that keep buying systems at the leading edge.
Responsibilities
You will be working with Barclay’s colleagues across global business divisions to deliver tangible and sustainable contributions to the organisation, these include
- Reducing Barclays 3rd party cost: Contribute to overall Sourcing targets to deliver >£400m of cost reduction to the Bank annually
- Driving revenue growth: We support a range of corporate development activity and partnerships
- Driving process efficiency to improve customer experience: Our customers need faster, slicker, responsive Banks and we support colleagues access this from external Firms
- Better management of demand for products and services: By pulling together demand from the entire Barclays community we negotiate better deals
- Unlocking supplier led innovation to the benefit of Barclays: Suppliers are leading the way in delivering market leading innovation
- Citizenship: ensure Barclays creates value for society and in a manner that is consistent with the highest standards of integrity.
